VII International Festival of short films Konik

From 8th to 12th of August at the VII International Festival of short films Konik will show the best short stories of this summer. This year the film festival has expanded its borders and will present the program at the five best venues of the city: its garden. Konik Festival has become one of the Moscow summer traditions. 7 years in a row The spectator comes here for new emotions and stories. A well made short film is easy to look at, but very difficult to take off. The format dictates a special approach to work with the material and the disclosure of the theme. To get a tense, catchy story, the director should be able to make time his partner. The Konik festival will show the works of those who succeeded.
The mission of the project is to attract a new intelligent and creative spectator to the short film, to popularize this direction among people of different age, interests and views. At the end of the festival screenings moved to other cities in Russia and even outside the country. So, in parallel to the shows in Moscow for the first time, the short film will be broadcast in Chisinau, the capital of Moldova. In cooperation with the Russian centers of science and Culture, the film Festival organizes shows of the winners in the framework of humanitarian cultural expeditions. In recent years, the shows have been held in Finland, Germany, Poland, Montenegro, Spain, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, the Czech Republic, Greece, Serbia and other countries.
The competition program of this year will be evaluated producer Dmitry Park, film director and educator Vladimir Fenchenko, actress Yana Floaty, production designer Eduard Galkin and operator Alexander Kuznetsov. For short-meter directors, the competition is not only an opportunity to get feedback from the best professionals in the world of cinema, but also a chance for material support from the partners of the festival to create new works. Among the prizes-certificates for rent technics, free legal support, promotion of films on festivals, subtitling, translations, as well as financial assistance. Over the past six years, the prize fund has helped to shoot more than twenty films, a large part of which have become the numerous winners of Russian and foreign film festivals.
This year's program consists of 50 films. Among the participants are absolutely new names, and already declared about themselves directors, artists. We are looking forward to the work of director Vladimir Mirzoyeva, actress Maria Shalaevoj, fashion designer and artist Denis Simachev.
