Floorball

In the 60s of the last century, the hockey family replenished with such a game as floorball (from the English floorball – “ball on the floor”), which is a kind of hockey with the ball. It should be noted that the game was officially named by the International Federation of Floorball in 1986. Until then, floorball had many names: in Sweden – innebandy, in Finland – salibandy, in the US and Canada – floorhockey, and in some European countries – unihockey.
The origin of this game is unclear. Officially, there are two versions. According to one of them, it was brought from the USA to Sweden, and on the other – the Swedes themselves invented it and called inbendi. But a similar game has long been known in New Zealand, and this casts doubt on both versions. As for Russia, our floorball has appeared relatively recently – about two decades ago and has not yet received such wide recognition and dissemination as in the US, Sweden, Finland and other countries.
In Babushkinsky Park, the floorball section was opened in 2016. In cold weather, training takes place in the sports hall of the school №1955 (the former school №529) at the address: 2 nd Naprudnaya street, 17, and in warm weather – at the sports grounds of the park.
